Portret studio

Bij een portretopdracht werk ik uitsluitend naar levend model. In de ontspannen sfeer van mijn atelier in Geleen teken ik na de kennismaking enkele schetsen in houtskool. Vervolgens maak ik zelf enkele foto´s. Deze vormen samen met de schetsen de basis voor het uiteindelijke werk. Meestal komt de geportretteerde hiervoor nog een keer model zitten. Een sessie duurt ca. 2 uur met natuurlijk een of meerdere pauzes.

Er kan een keuze gemaakt worden uit diverse materialen zoals houtskool, sanguine, Oost-Indische inkt met krijt of acryl. De prijzen zijn afhankelijk van het gebruikte materiaal en het formaat.

Portret studio

With a portrait assigment I work exclusively with a live model. After the introduction, in the relaxed setting of my workshop in Geleen, I draw several sketches with charcoal. Subsequently I take a couple of pictures. These pictures and the sketches form the base for the actual work. Usually the model will have to sit for the portrait once again after that. A session usually lasts around 2 hours with one or more breaks, of course.

A choice can be made from various materials like charcoal, sanguine, Indian ink, chalk or acrylic paint. The price of course depends on the material(s) used and the size of the portrait.
